Our packages are designed with flexibility in mind so that we can support your needs, your availability, and your desire to train your dog yourself or have the trainer install most of the training first.

Many problems are best addressed at your home or environs as that’s where most problems occur. I provide private in-home training, but sessions could also take place in your back yard, at the dog park, on a training walk, or even at a skate park. I can work with you, with your family, or focus primarily on your dog at first. In some situations, it is best if I work with your dog in my home as part of The Weekender option; I can also work with your dog partly at my home and partly at yours as part of an intensive called The Ten Day.

Single Session (1 hour) $85
We’ll discuss management and training options first. Next, I’ll work with your dog myself, demonstrating techniques that could work for you. Finally, I’ll work with you and your dog in implementing the techniques. I’ll leave you with 2 additional basic manners training handouts so that you can continue on your own and provide you with a mini-training plan.

The Agility Manners Weekender $225
Agility is a great way to learn doggie manners, as the payoff to the dog is so grand! Weekenders run from Friday evening through Sunday noon and include training, boarding in my home, and a half-hour training session with you at the end of The Weekender.

The Sixer (6 sessions for the price of 5) $425 and can Agility Pals: Starting Out in Agility!
This discounted package allows you to begin to plan for long-term changes in your dog and in your relationship with your dog. You receive the benefit of a discount and receive a detailed training plan on the specific issues you are working on. I will provide you with ‘refrigerator charts’ to help you chart your training progress. Mid-week email or phone check-in included, as well as a full training plan. For agility, we work at your home or in my outside practice arena.

The Ten Day (10 sessions for the price of 8) $680 and can include "Agility Pals: Starting Out in Agility!
This discounted package includes the basic benefits of The Sixer, but with more follow-throughs to secure the installation of the dog’s new skills. This series also gives you time to gain comfort and skill in your handling of your dog. This may include dog-only training done while you are away from home, with one session devoted to transferring the new training techniques to you. Depending on the training needs, a unique feature of this package is that The Ten Day can also be done as a board and train at my home, with a four consecutive day minimum and a 6 day maximum. Full training plan included. With the Ten Day, your dog can start agility practice in my outside arena while on a board and train at my home

The New Baby Package (Customized)
How do you push a stroller and walk a dog at the same time? How do you keep your dog from acting jealous when you hold your baby? How do you keep your dog from jumping up on you (“She’s back? She’s back! Oh, happiness!”) when you come home from the hospital with the little one in your arms? Sadly, many new parents just drop off their beloved pet at a shelter when the new baby arrives. (I had thought shelter dogs were usually feral dogs, but they aren’t anymore. Now they are often family dogs who have become inconvenient.) In the last few years, many planning and coping strategies have been developed to address this problem. Let me share them with you and work with you so that you know how to have an expanded household with a safe, happy baby and a secure, happy dog. Training plan included.

The New Dog Package (2 Sessions, only $120)
Clear Signals steeply discounts this package for a good reason: If you start out right, the home you’ll offer a dog will be a secure one. Use the first discounted session for guidance in choosing a good dog for your situation (for example, certain breeds tend to howl when left alone, some breed needs lots and lots of exercise, some breeds tend to love kids, some are more cat-like and careful.) Armed with basic knowledge, you could select a breed that works for you, or you could also provide a home for a shelter dog mix or a rescue and have much more of an idea of what to expect. You’ll find out the benefits of adopting an older dog (I always have) and how to make the first two weeks a success. Use your second discounted session to get your home set up for the new dog and make a plan for your dog’s first day with you. Many dogs get returned within 10 days because the new guardians weren’t properly prepared. Most times, simple interventions would have made the difference. Be ready to go and have a successful doggie adoption.

TupperDog Classes (Money Saver Model)
Based on a mini-Tupperware model, get 4 or so folks and dogs together in your fenced backyard for a mini-class, complete with handouts and homework. This is great for dogs who have completed their basic training, but need more experience around other dogs. The class will be customized for the specific group of owners and dogs.

Technology-based Consultations
Just as you might employ a life coach, I work as a personal dog coach for clients residing outside the Bay Area. Using email, phone consultations, photos, and/or videos, and twice-weekly check-ins, great progress can be made. Not all problems respond to this approach. Fees determined on a case-by-case basis. I am San Francisco Bay Area-based, but serve other areas by special arrangement.
